In this course, participants will gain knowledge of the general uses and legal elements of life insurance contracts to provide counsel to clients and prospects.

Advanced Estate Planning and Senior Life Settlement

Participants will better understand the use of insurance coverage in estate planning. They will discuss problems, options, and opportunities. They will examine the applications, uses, advantages, and disadvantages of trusts and coordination with life insurance. They will learn about a new trend in life insurance, the Senior Life Settlement option.

When the Unthinkable Happens…Will the Insurance Values Be Adequate?

The value of insurance-to-value is often overlooked. Overstated values may cause the insured to carry more insurance than necessary, and understated values may cause a devastating financial impact on the insured. In this session, participants learn some of the ways to determine coverage limits and what methods are available to achieve it. They will better understand the definitions, deductibles, endorsements, and coverage options in Personal and Commercial Insurance policies.

Commercial Lines Troubles and Solutions

Participants examine commercial lines issues that can be troublesome for the insured. They will examine coverages and exclusions provided in the most current ISO Crime, Commercial Property, Business owners, Commercial General Liability, and Commercial Umbrella forms. They will identify problems and issues with the National Flood Insurance Program.
